As with public schools across the nation, there is a clear focus on reading and math, though art, music, computer, social studies, Hawaiiana and PE are all part of the curriculum. The school is in the midst of a residential neighborhood, so has a small-town feeling. Grounds are well-maintained. The school is safe and feels intimate because of the relatively small number of students (about 350). It could offer more extracurricular activities, which the administration seems to be giving more attention to. Lots of opportunities for parental involvement, though not all participate. Read less
