Read what parents are saying about Montessori School Of RomeThe Montessori method is a great approach to teaching children. MSOR has no business being in contact with children in any capacity. I have witnessed first hand issues for other families and experienced numerous unacceptable challenges for my children. The owner has no background in education but thinks very highly of herself (and will tell everyone, whether listening or not). The staff are beyond incompetent - not a surprise based on how the place is run. The *only* reasons my children stayed for a few years were the teachers (we were blessed with GREAT teachers) and the global pandemic. Our teachers were fantastic and operated in spite of the owners tyranny. Our friends and neighbors did not have the same experience and left rapidly. When parents have questions, issues or concerns the owner and staff do not listen and help - they turn the situation around on the parent even taking it as far as recommending you find another school (over minor discussions). They talk of community but it is fake. This “school” will certainly fold in a year or two. Teachers are leaving left and right (half left before this year started). Don’t take your kids here. You cannot trust them with your children.
Posted by a parent on 10/15/2022<My son started MSR at 18 months and his teacher complained about his behavioral problems daily seeking me to resolve his issues in school as opposed to her handling them herself. After about a year and a half in attendance I went to school early, and I found my son in the directress's classroom barricaded in a corner behind a white board in urine soaked pants. At that time I begged the directress, who is seemingly out of touch with the children at the school, to allow me to seek a suitable place for my son to learn. I transferred him to Westminster Christian Academy, and I never heard another behavioral issue arise. The teachers were loving, firm, eager to teach, and cared deeply for our son. They chose to challenge him intellectually instead of forcing him to lie on a mat for 2 hours during nap time, which by the way is against the state of GA guidelines. He and my daughter were reading books by 4 and adding and beginning subtraction. My children were taught by a very accomplished educator with 20 + years in education and had a PhD in education. On top of all of this, the tuition was more than $150/mo less than Montessori.
Posted by a parent on 9/24/2014My children love the Montessori method and have learned so much! I love the way the teachers care about my children and know exactly what their progress is in each subject. I don't know of another school that knows so much about each child's accomplishments. The academics are excellent, but even more than that, the children are loved and get to explore their interests without being held back or without everyone having to do the same thing. I love that you can observe in the observation room at any time and see exactly what your children are doing. The teachers are certified and Montessori trained, and it shows. When I am around other children, I am surprised at how far ahead my children seem to be. I believe this method does a great job of teaching children how to read and have confidence to think outside of the box!
Posted by a parent on 5/26/2014LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this school. Our kids have been there for nine years and will be more than prepared for the next level. If you are looking for a school that embraces diversity, fosters global awareness and encourages students beyond their own expectations then this is the place. I love the fact that my kids have experienced other students from such diverse backgrounds at such an early age. Just a few of my favorite MSR events are Historical Timeline, International Day, Science Fair and the Holiday Program. We would make the same choice for both of them again!!
Posted by a parent on 4/27/2014I wish Montessori School of Rome would go through high school! The teachers at Montessori are above reproach! They have very high (but realistic) expectations of the children they teach and their methods of teaching are creative and have proven (for my children) to be very effective. I will recommend Montessori School of Rome to anyone who is looking for a loving, creative and academically challenging atmosphere for his/her children!

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe staff of EC has helped my sons transition to a new school. They also hae a team of teachers helping my oldest cope with social issues. They are strict and run a tight ship, but students are challenged and learn in interactive and interesting ways. It's fair to say my sons have grown intellectually.Parent Review12y ago - North Heights Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur daughter attended St. Mary's and loved everything about it. She bounced out of bed every morning to get ready for school. Unfortunately, we had to move out of the area and were heartbroken that we had to leave St. Mary's. If you want your child to get an excellent education where the teachers and staff truly care about your child, this is the place for you. St. Mary's has it all. They provide PE, music, art, computer, and Spanish classes. All of the teachers are fabulous and well versed in their area of expertise. St Mary's has a high standard of excellence and the students willingly meet these expectations. The school provides ample opportunities for children to participate in extra-curricular activities. There are also many ways for parents to be involved with the school. There are fun activities all year long which makes school exciting for the students. All of this is done in a caring Christian environment. We love St. Mary's School!Parent Review8y ago - Darlington School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI graduated from Darlington and found it to be one of the most fulfilling experiences in my life. The friends from all over the world allow one to realize just how insular regular city schools can be but the quality of the educational experience is really what sets the school apart. I was simply well prepared to meet the challenges of college. Isn't that what it is all about?Other Review9y ago - Anna K. Davie Elementary

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’m surprised by the grade given by the state. I have kids in this school and a neighboring district and see a huge difference in Anna K. My experience as a parent has been so much more pleasant with the staff. I feel my kids have had their needs addressed and supported. The love and the way they care about families has been amazing. The facilities are much nicer than the other area schools. There’s new technology and resources available at Anna K. I wonder how much of the poor grade has to do with Covid related things that just couldn’t be helped? As a parent I fully recommend Anna K and hope to get my last elementary kid in there and away from the other school soon.Parent Review2y ago
