Read what parents are saying about Children for Christ AcademyMy child attended this school. Right before the first day of school, they changed the teacher without notice to the parents. My child was in a class that included three grades but the whole class was small. The teacher's grading was all over the place. And I was told after taking him out that I had to continue to pay every month because it is in their brochure, NOT ON THE CONTRACT that you sign! Beware and ask plenty of questions before leaving that building!
Posted by a parent on 10/23/2022I attended children for Christ as a young child at the age of 3 and 4 what I learned at such a small age a took with me all the way through my senior high school. I was taught penmenship, discipline, study skills, and learned about God. I knew how to spell my entire name and write it in cursive before age 5. This is an awesome school and is one of the best places to get a Rick solid foundation for your child
Posted by a community member on 5/13/2015Children for Christ Academy is one of the best elementary school options in Lithonia. I currently have 3 daughters attending this fine institution and could not be more pleased with the nurturing and effective learning environment CFCA provides. My family has been a part of the CFCA family since 2011 and there has never been an issue. The teachers, administration, and staff really care about each and every child and work tirelessly with parents to ensure that the kids thrive academically, emotionally, and spiritually. Mrs. Murchison has done an excellent job of selecting and keeping great teachers, especially the PreK teacher, Ms. A. They provide so much for a small school and still maintain a reasonable tuition that has not been significantly increased since we first started. I really wish the school could expand through 8th grade because I am not looking forward to transitioning my girls to much lesser schools in the area or possibly relocating for good middle and high school options. All in all, we are so grateful to Children for Christ Academy for giving our girls such a great start and leaving an impression on them that makes them love school.
Posted by a parent on 3/20/2015I am a parent of a child with a late birthday and with the crazy new laws, since my sons birthday is 19 days past the deadline it has been stressful and such a headache trying to get him in a school with kids his age n not a age under because of his birthday. Mrs Odom was very helpful and attentive to all my questions as a concerned a terrified mother who does not like the idea of daycare. Mrs A is my sons teacher and I can not thank her enough. It's been two weeks and my son is slowly but surely catching up. Its heartwarming to see you're child do things like write his full name and count to 100 in a weeks time. I'm forever grateful.
Posted by a parent on 2/7/2015My child went to this school from preschool tI the 5th grade. Simply said, this is a great school. I love the openest. When I say open, I mean open. Never had any problems. I spent a lot of volunteer time there. The only downside is that not enough parents volunteer. The school is open to new ideas. And the teachers are committed to taking the best care of your child.

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school doesn’t deserve a rating. They need to close their doors and revamp everything. They need a whole new staff. They need to do a spring cleaning and they need new furniture. This is by far the worst school my children have ever attended. They’ve been exposed to cursing and fighting which is something that I’ve tried to protect them from.Parent Review5y ago - Marbut Elementary School
