2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter has attended Hope Hill for the last three years (preK-1st). It is an excellent school and all of our teachers have excellent. All of my questions to administration and staff are always answered promptly and given with more insight than I could have asked for.I love the principle, Ms Wheeler, and I only wish them the best of luck as they continue bringing excellence to our community everyday and uplifting the kids.Parent Review1y ago - The Children's School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFirst, be wary and skeptical of any school that has a ton of 5-star and solicits reviews during the private school admission season! TCS is akin to an urban public school with a $25K price tag. The culture and management of the school has been in a downward spiral the past 4-5 years. So much so, TCS is now a dumping ground for students, ranging from pre to middle school, with highly inappropriate behavior. Disruptive behavior (yelling in class/foul language/aggression) is the norm in many TCS classrooms and the teachers have not been sufficiently trained to manage them. The entire curriculum is not applied in a thorough and consistent manner. A number of kids have private tutors and/or attend Kumon for additional instruction and enrichment. There is no formal reading program at TCS so don’t bother asking about your child’s reading (Lexile) level. We’ve met many families, some with older children, who have shared the same or similar stories. Pros: Great Art & Chinese; doles out lucrative grants/financial aid to keep families/employees, some with 2-3 kids, at the school.More cons: Passive aggressive Head of School especially towards families that speak out; Uninteresting or intellectually stimulating learning environment; No formal or structured reading program; High turnover in the after school program with poor quality curriculum/activities; Terrible and expensive lunch provided by a company that picks up the food from local eateries.Parent Review3w ago - Country Village Montessori School
