This school system seems to be based on who you are in the community more than anything else, and the whole county seems to work that way also. You can get away with anything if you are the right person with the right friends.

I think that the education standards at Johnson County are under qualified there are good teacher there but the circulum is not at the Georgia education level most students are not ready for college when they graduate.

There were availability of many extracurricular activities, yet they were more like cliques than actual clubs. Overall, I would not recommend this school, unless it was the absolute last resort.

I think the lady/man that said that they showed favoratism to the people that the teachers like is wrong. Yes, they may give help to some that they like but they try to give it to others too, but you cant make someone learn something if they dont want to. My son is attending this school he started in the 6th grade I was very impressed in his grades and his attitude as far as going to school, he came from Adrian School Of Performing Arts, where the teachers there did not take up time with there students all they seem to do was complain about the kids ...  Read more

My daughter attended this school. I found most of the teacher and the principal would push the children to the next grade or level if they liked the child. If they didn't they received no extra help what so ever. The children are not prepared for the graduation test they have to take and I was encouraged ...  Read more

* In 2007-2008 Georgia administered the Georgia High School Graduation Test (GHSGT) in English language arts, math, science and social studies to students in grade 11. The GHSGT is a standards-based assessment, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined by the state of Georgia. Students must pass all parts of the GHSGT in order to graduate from high school. The goal is for all students to pass the test.
