... Read more the administration was less than acceptable. I found that when children do not fit into the preconceived rolls that CCS has picked for them, they treat them as disciplinary problems. Instead of employing good classroom management techniques, parents are contacted and asked to pick up their child. As an educator myself, I was very unimpressed with the way behavior is managed at the school. I wanted a Christ-centered education for my daughter but found that she was better rounded when attending the public school and being supported by Christian parents at home who accept her for who she is. The teachers are nice and the academics are good as well. The school has a good Christain education, we learn a lot about Bible stories and Bible verses. The staff is nice to the other students and students are nice to each other. Band and Chorus are good too.

This is an adverage school. The quality of teachers could be better. It's not much different from public schools in the area. Children of the employees are shown favoritism and it's obvious to parents as well as students. Students in the higher grades ususally only stay a year or two. If there were more

I attended their fluffy open house in February 2008, fell for everything that they sold me and I enrolled my 2 year old son in August. ... Read more was an emergency or not. The teachers give preferential treatment to the students whose parents are employed there, where my child was always singled out as the troublemaker. Even choice words that we do not use at home were picked up at school by my son. Finally I withdrew him because they built up this story that my son was acting out the behavior of my older disabled son. They even went so far as to say my son needed to be 'evaluated'! They painted a picture and basically forced me to withdraw him. Read less

CCS has been a great experience for my child. We had struggled with public schools and a larger Christian school environment for a number of years and have finally found a great place for our daughter to learn. It is a comfort to know that the children are in a safe environment and are being taught

Academic programs are very small, these are the only middle/high school academic programs I know of: Spanish, Geometry, and if you want to include Computer. Other classes are selected for you, such as History, Math, Science, Bible, and Literature. However, there is many extracurricular activities,

I cannot speak for the past 3 years at CCS - we removed our children and sent them to public school. My children spent 3 years at CCS in early elementary school. My children are extemely advanced academically and CCS had no plan to keep them challenged. My daughter had taught herself multiplication

AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School
"Extended day" programs where the school day is extended before and after school to accommodate working parents. These programs should not be confused with common after school clubs or athletic activities.
Gifted and Talented
A school system may identify 10% to 15% or more of its student population as gifted and talented. A brief description of each area of giftedness or talent as defined by the Office of Gifted and Talented:

Vocational and/or technical courses offered within a comprehensive school, usually a senior high school.
Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
