Argyle Elementary has a wonderful staff , the teachers work with each student and makes sure that they are on grade level or above. The school has met AYP standards for the past 5 years . Its the Parent involvement that slacks... The teachers can only do so much... when it comes to PTA the parents do

As a parent of a first grader at Argyle, some parents make negative comments against the school, but how many of those are involved in volunteering for their child's school. Part of volunteering is not only to get you involved and get to know what is going on at Argyle, but a time for you child to learn to give back and be involved with making changes. Many of our active volunteers, are regulars, they manage their schedules and work at most all school functions. If you want a Spelling Bee, then suggest it and work to organize it. We have a new principal, Mr. Babay, and a new PTA with elected members, so give them a chance to shine! Read less

My Kindergartner is at this school and academics are not stressed. Parents are not treated as an important element in their child's education. The school does not encourage parents to volunteer in the classroom (its ok for fundraising activities). The PTA donated to a homeless organization but has

All sorts of flyers get sent to parents to raise money for the school but where does it go? The administration and the PTA are in need of a big change! both of my children attended this school,I've never liked the school. the school is raggedy,in need of repair. more parents need to speak up about the school. thereare some good teachers at the school but i think a lot of the older ones are burnt out and they just dont care anymore.

My child is enrolled in the Pre-K program at Argyle Elementary. Mrs. Kniffin and Mrs. Powell are great. That is where it ends. The staff are unfriendly. When situations are reported the principal will give you a well rehearsed and politically correct answer but will ultimately do nothing. The front office

My child will not be returning to this school next year. Argyle is not an upscale leadership school by far. The school represents a stand still of unknowledgeable, non chalant staff, no consideration for the future, disrespectful attitude at times, and no power to excel themselves and the students. Advanced Placement
