I have family members who attended another private school but are transferring to Calvary because they have witnessed the positive impact this school makes on the life of my son. Several students from the junior high and high school competed at the state level science fair this year. The elementary students consistently win or place in various regional and state competitions. The high school offers a strong athletic program (state champions in baseball this year), as well as various clubs. Public service is a mandatory graduation requirement. This is on small thing to me; however, when you take into consideration the great education, genuine concern and love for students, and overall feel that this is a ministry rather than just merely a school, the sacrifice is no great thing. Of course, my daughter gets music, theater, and dance at our Church, which balances it all out. My overall impression of the school is that they are there for the students first and foremost, not the money, connections or prestige. The arts are being worked on, I know! Read less

I have two children in the school. They have attended since kindergarten and are now in middle and high school. The best thing I can say is that they never woke up in the morning and said they didn't want to go to school. They love school and their friends and teachers. Their test scores are great also.

This has been my first year as a Calvary parent and I have been phenominally impressed. They have a loving and caring staff who are experts in their field. The administration is personal and caring--it truly is a family. I would recommend this school to anyone who wants an excellent education!

Principal leadership: Last year we had no principal. The current headmaster had no idea who we were. I remember one girl came to school in her pj's and he asked 'Excuse me, do you go here?' He doesnt know anybody's name. Teacher quality: My calculus teacher was the only one that knew what she was
... Read more doing. the others just hand out work sheets and tell us to read from the book, that is if they could quiet us down first. Extracurricular activities: plenty of sports, nothing else except one play, no clubs. Parent involvement: They have a PTO don't know what they do. Safety and discipline: 4 years ago a girl almost got abducted, since then they put up a fence. Overall quality: in the 7 years that I went there. they put up a new gym, practice field, and a huge score board. If you want your kid to learn don't send them here. Read less

Calvary Day School is the best private school in Savannah. There fantastic academic program and sports program and not to mention the awesome religious program they offer. I graduated from Calvary and now my daughter attends and I wouldn't send her anywhere else. She loves it very much and everyone

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
