Great school. I am an active parent/volunteer at this school. When reading other reviews, I saw the negative one re: bullying. While I am sure there are some problems in every school--any problem brought to the staff of this school is taken serious and investigated. My children love it. I did much

This is one of the best schools in NW GA. EC prepared my children well for middle and high school; academics are top-notch and the gifted program is superb. I make a 30 minute drive to take my children to this school. The parent involvement, academics and teacher professionalism are the highest quality in NW GA. It is very much a 'tight ship'. My daughters have attended this school for three years and I am so grateful for the opportunity to send them...their experiences with the teachers have been very positive. This school also pulls from the wealthiest and poorest of Rome's neighborhoods...which can sometimes make for a discouraging amount of 'conspicuous consumption' conflict for children whose parents also work full time but cannot afford to keep up with the Jones's. * In 2007-2008 Georgia administered the Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests (CRCT) in reading, English language arts and math in grades 1 through 8 and in science and social studies in grades 3 through 8. The CRCT is a standards-based assessment, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Georgia. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.
