My husband and I moved from Massachsetts and when we arrived we were unable to find a Pre-K. We both knew when our child attended school we would love a charter school since that is what we hoped if we still lived in Massachsetts. However, we found New Life and was looking forward to visiting the school.

My opinion is if that parent sends her child to the school and gives an honest assessment of her experience w/ the school - but, mistakenly typed CRTT instead of CRCT - you should not try to belittle them and their honest review. It does not make you any bigger or smarter of a person. My experience

This school does well on testing. Their scores went down last year but they are still on top as far as CRTT is concern. Unfortunately I can't say the same about their administrative team. They do not appropriated parents and have an if you don't like it leave attitude. The principle is no where

Some of the teachers out there thinks that they are God's gift to the school and do what ever they want and the administrative team back them up. This is a school of choice. The parents at this school are looking for better choices and better opportunities for their children. Not every student there has a low rated school in their neighborhood. Administration should stop acting like it. Like we don't have a choice. They should embrace that with all the choices we have we choose NEW LIFE. Some of us are there because we want more than just an excelling CRTT scrore. We want the use of a second language and the martial arts that's included. The last review is completely wrong in all respects. This is also my child's 4th year at NLAE. There is a warming kitchen that is used by the catering company. It was never intended for individual use by students. There are too many reasons why that would be a terrible idea to list them here. This

This is a public school and standardized tests are required, even though they are not the best means for measuring a student's achievement. My daughter is doing exceptionally well in every thing, including Mandarin, and is in the gifted program. If your child is not succeeding, it is more likely due to issues outside this wonderful school. Karate is the only PE offered. As a parent, it is my job to ensure that my child gets sufficient exercise and she does. The school is only responsible for her education, and it is doing an outstanding job. In short, if you feel this school does not meet your child's need, then find another. Read less
