MAHS is an excellent school that offers a diversity of subjects and extra activities. This school does not baby students what your child puts into the school he or she will get out. They are hands on with the kids and have many activities going on year round not just during the school year. Col. Hoff and Sgt. My child is an upcoming Jr and had a chance to move to the newly built school. HE chose to stay as he feels that the diversity, academics and the lack of huge emphasis on sports involvement on being 'popular' makes this school special. I am concerned about the change in leadership being a challenge
... Read more for this school because Dr. Royal was an awesome principal and leader, I feel that we have great staff, leaders and students. There is a huge rift that has never been substansiated and used against MAHS, and it is just plain rediculous...This is an awesome school, with awesome kids, and awesome teachers...Anyone with an otherwise opinion can move. Thank God we live in America where we have that choice. No one forces you to be here, so if you don't like our school, pay for another, or move into another district. Enough said! Read less

Monroe High School one first place in Technology/Engineering in Georgia,If your kid is good and smart will do good at Monroe,if they get in trouble and there lazy they will not baby sit kids,its more like college,you get what you put into it.Teacher to student ratio is great and lots of oportunities

I believe this school is lacking in every arena, from athletics to academics. The students are apathetic, the community is critical, yet unwilling to provide adequate support.The parental and administrative support is spotty at best. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
