My daughter attended Panola Way Elementary from Kindergarten through Second Grade. My experience trying because I feel as though my daughter was not pushed enough academically. The academic programs could use some improvements. My daughter was exposed to music, art, and sports. There was a average
... Read more amount of parental involvement at the school. One thing I must say about the administrative staff is that they tend to be very disorganized. The principal is a good listener and works to get issues solved, but some of the teachers/counselors are very rude when it comes to asking questions. They seem to feel as though they can talk to parents and children as they please, which is not in an appropriate mannner. I am glad that my daughter is not attending the school, especially because of the way the children communicate with each other (a lot of broken english and too much slang). Read less

When my son was first enrolled at Panola Way. I assumed this was a pretty good school. But as time privailed, I realized some of the teachers here are not teaching. They are thier for a pay check. ... Read more either get the education, or they don't, which makes me wonder about the no child left behind. Well, with an attitude like that I'm assuming alot of children will be left behind without a clue. Which apparently is the case considering the test scores. There is n reason that our children should be held to such a low standard of education. There are no challenges, the children are poorly supervived and even the simple teaching of proper english is not done. How effective would it be if our teachers took the time to teach our children the proper way
... Read more to enunciate.... to not say things like aint and nawl. I have witnessed these words being used in the presence of teachers and the principal and no one corrected these children. When considering wheter to sell our home this was a hugh factor. We just want educators who are truely commited to our childern. Educators who expect excellence not mediocrity. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
