My son has been attending Martin Luther King Jr. HS since 9th grade and I must say that there are great number of teachers that are really dedicated to making sure that the students that are there for the purpose of learning, get the things that they are there for. On the other hand, if I had to do

I believe that if they were checking residency, they would find that a large number of the students are out of district. Another thing, there is too much emphases on sports and band, not enough on making the school the best if could be from parents and this is shown in the numbers that come out to the meetings what there focus is on. I am so glad that this is our last year, but wish them well. I know that the numbers are really going to go up since the new 9th grade academy will be opening 2014-2015 school year. I do believe that if Dr. King was alive, he would not be proud of how his name is being represented, through parent involvement and school leadership.
