... Read more between Harvard and Yale, which shows, education will be what you make it! In truth, Lithonia has a larger population than most other schools, of student and parents of whom may have other struggles keeping them from putting forth the extra effort needed to keep the test scores up. But, for the parents that are involved, you couldn't find better students! I'm a parent that's been 'hands-on' in this school and there are really some great, talented, creative, intelligent students and faculty. It's ashame the school has the reputation it does. The facility is state-of-the-art and much can be accomplished if one tries! Read less

I recently graduated from LHS, and its not the shool. Its the drive that you have, and the reason why to you come to school in the first place. To learn. Worrying about the fights, and the lack of parental involvement is not the reason why LHS has the promblems that is has. It's b/c of the children.
... Read more Parents complain about the violence and how the kids are disrespectful, but have you ever given the thought that maybe it was your child. Kids are so much different when they are home and when they are at school. I graduated with honors, and i was in the top 10% of my class. Its all about time management, and knowing what you have to do to succeed. I wouldnt have gone to another high school for any reason. This year Lithonia has made AYP. Lithonia High have very good academic ciriculums. Two of my children have graduated from Lithonia High. They both are attending college. My son is attending Southern Polytechnic University. He is studying to become an electrical engineer. My daughter is attending Valdosta State University. She is

I have no problems with Lithonia High School - my children went to Lithonia. They never had discipline problems,we never had a problem with the curriculum, we worked with our children, provided them with additional learning materials and they graduate in the top 5% of their respective class.

This School is Bad! Don't send your child to this School if at all possible. They only have one police officer. The staff is understaffed! The School is over crowed. Teachers are leaving the school. This School doesn't receive any funding from the government due to the NCLB law. These kids are out

There is no parent involvement, poor extracurricular activities and the teachers are fed up. The administration is inconsistent in their discipline, actually the students run the school. Teachers are not backed up by administration.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
