I think this school system is great! I attend school there as a freshman. While there are many things that I love about LCHS, there are also many things I would like to change. ... Read more student to do what they need to do between classes (in five minutes). I agree with Mr. Bacon, his son and I were talking about why the Board won't expand the High School. Currently, there are many expansions happening in Leesburg. Both the primary school, and the Twin Oaks are getting expanded or remodeled, but the school that is in dire need of expansion, doesn't get it. There is also being a new school built. My girls are in 10th and 12th grade. They have been in the school system all there life. I think that it has been a great school system with some conflicts with handling things at the high school or helping single parents. When I call to talk with a teacher or advisor you can't never get in touch

I agree with the first reveiwer. The schools are overcrowded. There are too many displinary problems. And sports are considered too important. But, the school has excellent teachers and if you children are willing to learn there are plenty of things they can get out of this school.

Lee County High school provides a high quality education to those that wish to seek it. The administration and teachers are mostly of superb quality. The education obtained here is one of the best in the state and this region provides a progressive and safer education than the surrounding areas. One
... Read more problem is the system is growing very rapidly so crowding is starting to occur. Also Lee County is VERY sports oriented to a fault. Other extra curricular activities sometimes seem neglected for the sake of sports. Also parents of Lee County are too free with their children and many lack consequences. This has sparked a rise in inappropriate behavior. All in all the school system does an excellent job with education in spite of lack of constant support by some of the county citizens. Read less

We have lived in the Lee County area for 2 years now. Our son is a Freshman at Lee County High and for the most part, we are pleased with the school environment. Unfortunately, I don't believe the county supports the school system enough with tax revenue as it should. Lee County population continues

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Vocation/Technical Curriculum
Vocational and/or technical courses offered within a comprehensive school, usually a senior high school.
Special Education Classes
A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
