This school is terrible, i mean students are rude and disrespectful. Teachers don't give any discipline. i am a student at this school, i feel like going to jail every day when i go to Richards. In class only like 2 students behave. There are always fights and people getting ISS, and i as a good students
... Read more always stuffer from what the other students do. Like if one person talks then the whole class get silent lunch, and at Richards this don't happen sometimes it happens all the time. It effects my learning when someone is always interrupting the teacher, or the teacher yelling at the top of their lungs. I only dislike this school because of the disrespectful students. i actually like learning and i want to be successful in life, but going to this school makes it really hard. Read less

It was not one of the best schools ive been too.I have done pretty well in school but when i came to richards it all fell apart,well at least in math.I wouldnt say i hated it but im glad that im not going there anymore!

This is our youngest daughter third year at RMS (our first daughter having gone there 3 years also) and we have been very much pleased with the teaching staff there. This was my daughters first year at Richards Middle School. I read the ratings and prejudged this school before she even stepped foot in it. I was WRONG! I absoulutely loved the way her teachers responded quickly to any questions I had, they were all professional and they CARE ALOT about their students.
... Read more Koodles go out to Mr. Smith , Mrs Belvins and their whole 6th grade team. I have nothing but good things to say about their teaching staff. I'm very upset that we are moving to another school district and my daughter is not going to be able to continue her education there. I am currently a student at Richards, and i think the school was by far the worst school i have ever attended. there are too many fights and students misbehaving. students deserve more disipline for their actions. Teachers have NO control over the students. they are always doing something to get 'ISS'

Read more when they need several days of suspension from school, not InSchoolSuspencion. too many parents and students complain, and you would think after 20 somthing years they would finally listen. and their food is terrible. it taste nasty and they expect people to pay $10.00 a week for their kid to eat lunch! and for the parents who have more than one child attending RMS, they cant afford $20.00 a week. students deserve a lot more respect than they receive. the teachers will make you sound stupid for asking a simple question about something they dont understand. ... Read more very unorganized. The behavior is horrible and you are either categorized by good or bad. If you are bad, you get punished. If you are good, you get stuck with the other misbehaved students? I believe as a student at this school that RMS is a very unreliable school. I recommend you try it out, but make sure you don't hang out with the wrong people. Read less

The school is not as bad as some people think, my daughter attends 7th grade there. I do hope they are more effective in the transition from Elementary to middle, give kids a little time to get settled in and don't loose patience is my advice to the faculty. Guiden Hawkins Parent

Advanced Placement
