I graduated LHS in 2003. In my opinion all the departments were extraordinary in ever aspect. Some teachers were on the right side of the fence while others were not. My complaints about LHS could fill quite a few pages; however, I have heard many good things about the new adminstration. Having put 3 children through Lafayette, we decided to home school our fourth child. He excelled, but he asked to attend LHS his senior year. LaFayette has a near 50% dropout rate. The teaching situation is not good, many of the teacher s just come to do a job,they do it and they go home. Quality education

The teacher s at LaFayette could do much more to affect the dropout and education rates. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. A school or program within a school that provides services and training to students with moderate to severe mental and/or physical disabilities.
Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
English language classes for students whose first language is not English.
