I have attended this school for all 3 years and now i am in my last year. kendrick is somewhat good but the principle and the staffexcluding the teachers show poor productivity. i do not know what the main principle does. i do not know what the point of student council is. i think they can do better

... Read more high and the expectations are repeated to the student daily in the mornings and evenings. All educators are involved in the academic achievements of the school from the front office staff to the custodians, food service workers and bus drivers. Athletically, they rank high amongst all middle school, bringing home several 1st place trophies. They also have a strong parental presence and support for the PTSA and School Council. I Have attended Kendrick Middle school for 2 years and i now enter my senior year. I have Never felt safe. My daughter has attended KMS for the last 2 school years. Sixth grade was challenging regarding discipline in the school. Administratively, the school put $ before the children by canceling the after school program because it didn't bring in enough $$s, and they did it with 2 months left in the school year. What a disruption for the students and the parents!! Despite all this, my daughter was able to get 5 As and a B for last quarter. I have mixed emotions about her returning to KMS. Read less

As a involved parent I am very disappointed with KMS and the staff. I feel that the administration has not done their part in carrying out the Student Code concerning discipline. I am a 8th Grader currently attending KMS. Kendrick prides themselves in extracurricular activities. Such as football, track and field, basketball, and swimming. (Theres a section of the cafe dedicated to all of the sport accomplishments) So if your looking for a school for sports this is the school
... Read more for you. And the other EC are okay as well. I'm currently attending 6 of the 10 myself. Most of the clubs are student governed so it teaches early leadership skills, because colleges not only look at grades but also what you do extra. As for the classroom itself, its far from the best. Buts its also far from the worse. Its somewhere in the middle. Most (about 85%) of the teachers are dedicated to the students. But sometimes I feel that Kendrick is more sports orientated than its academics. Theres a lot that needs to be done, but its getting there. Read less

Kendrick Middle School is excellen school. I am a 8th grader going on to high school now. Some of the teacher are dedictaed to their job and some are not. The teacher I had were helpful to my education. The only thing they didn't do was prepare us for high school. Ms. Garner has really straighten out

this is my child first year in this school and so far the teachers have showed a great learning towards my son academic skills. I believe, as parents we must stay on top of our children when it comes to their school work and there involvement in the school my child is struggling in a certain class,

I have two grandchildren who attend this school. They are both failing; we have SST meetings regularly with their teachers. The strategies always sound good, but nothing ever happens. I have spoken with one of the counselors there regarding my 7th grader twice. Each time he was going to talk to the
... Read more student and call me back. Haven't heard from him so far. The first time was at mid-term last quarter. The SST resulted in his being referred to the counselor and my hearing the results. Nothing yet and the school year is about over. It seems to me that the main focus is on behavioral issues, and not education. Advanced Placement
