this school is slowly letting Christ back in to the schools... over the summer the stadium was changed from Hiram Stadium to Christ Central stadium... a local church in Dallas, the school asked the church if they would like to do it and now the church is going to fix up various parts of the stadium...

I recently graduated from Hiram and I had an experience nothing short of fantastic. While yes, it isn't perfect, it is a public school. Funding leads more towards band and football, but I never truly lacked anything I needed during my high school experience. I was an honors/AP student and had some
... Read more excellent teachers who really knew what they were talking about and were always available to assist/tutor me when needed. I was involved with the theatre department, which had little money, but a lot of talent!, the Vespidae [yearbook] staff, and also several clubs such as Beta, NHS, and SHS. I would recommend this school to anyone in Paulding County. The administration, for the most part, is fantastic and this is easily the best high school in the county. Read less

For the average student, Hiram is average, I guess. The students are a bit of a rough bunch,but overall it is a safe, but noisy, learning environment. My student is not average, however, and for these students who may be dealing with Asperger's Disorder or learning disabilities, we found it was too intense

I am a student athleate at hiram high school. This school is fun at TIMES.. But when it comes to freedom and learning its in much need of help. Teachers ability needs to be checked, and how they teach the class. They do not adapt to the student learning styles. They are persistant at teaching a certain
... Read more way and never improvising to give the students a chance to catch up. Also the school disapline system is awful. They are so worried about tardys, cell phones, and ipods. They completly are oblivious to the fact that drugs and people steal in the locker rooms. And they get away with it. I had money stolen from me and they found the student. But i never was reimburst for what i lost. That was my lunch money. I really think the principal is so fixed on disapline with ignorant stuff. Read less

i have been going through some rough times lately and the counseling and attendence staff have been like family. they have been helpful with my daughters when it comes to my daughter in regards to her school work and homelife i just want to thank them all i couldnt have my daughter in a better school
... Read more and as for learning my daughter does get and excellent educatin there, at times it is difficult but she does get help from the teachers and she gets along well with the teachers im happy to know that my daughter is in a school that cares about there students. Read less

my child is new to this area and school she is geting excellent education here the only problem is the way the staff allows the students to behave the times i have been to pick up my child early i see children running around on cell phones talking in vulgar language hanging around and leaving school

Read more at all times of day i dont know if they have perimission or not but its seems like ten in the morning a car load of students should be in class...for the most part the teachers do seem to be there for the students, my daughter gets along very well with her teachers and learns very well from them ...the office staff has alot to learn about manners especially the front office. Hiram high school is all about the sports. Overall the school is decent and i disagree with it being ugly. I am somewhat satisfyed with this school but wish it could base its priorites on education rather than sports.

Advanced Placement
