I am currently an 8th grader at Hahira Middle School. I have been here for three years, and I too, have my likes and dislikes about the school. Yes, the seventh and eighth grade lockers are too small, but sixth grade has bigger books than we do. they can't take their bookbags around with them either,

Some of the teachers talk about the students having bad attitudes, well some of the teachers do too. Our school has become a school of excellency, and a lighthouse school. I wouldn't say my school is horrible, but i wouldn't say it was over the top either. But it is still my school, and i love it. Read less

I too, dislike Hahira Middle. Even though the gym has air conditioning, the school is too crowded. The lockers are too small and the school is very dirty. I've been there for 1 year and this is my 2nd year there. The teachers are okay, but the students are the most terrible bunch I've ever seen. Most

I just recently relocated to the local Air Force Base here in town, and I enrolled my daughter yesterday in 8th grade. Of course I don't know much about the school yet, but I did want to make mention that the front office staff and teachers I encountered were very welcoming and polite. So far so good!

I do not like Hahira Middle School this is my second year here and I hate it. The air conditioner in the gym does not work, the coaches have put in two big fans to cool the students off. The lockers for seventh and eighth grade are two small. I cannot even fit my tote bag in my locker. The school takes

My daughter attended 6-8th grades at HMS and I have to say that they were probably the worst years of her life. The school is a totally unacceptable safe place for kids. I agree with another poster, the teachers care more about how high above the knee shorts/skirts are or if shirts are tucked in than

* In 2007-2008 Georgia administered the Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests (CRCT) in reading, English language arts and math in grades 1 through 8 and in science and social studies in grades 3 through 8. The CRCT is a standards-based assessment, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Georgia. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.
