While the teachers at Starr's Mill are for the most part the cream of the crop, I have problems with my children's peers and their parents. Starr's Mill is as exclusive, rich and white as the metro area's 'finest' private schools. If you want your child growing up with spoiled classmates who've had

I started attending this school in 2003 and am I senior. There is a good attitude towards students and the teachers are very helpful. The number of clubs and extra carricular activities is greatly beneficial to students. If you want to join a club, there is usually something you will enjoy. Now for

Starr's Mill did not have any shop classes or automotive classes. Most of the other schools in the county have classes similar to these, even the newer Whitewater school. The academics are above average, especially for the area. The sports have alot of support from students and faculty. The technology in the county is severly lacking causing students to not have access to programs needed for different classes. Read less

I think the fact that the middle & high school are connected is a smooth transitonal quality that most systems don't have. I highly recommend Starr's Mill for any transferring parents. It's worth moving into this district. The Fayette County area alone has a high standard and makes it a win-win situation. Every school has their share of problems with drugs, violence, sex, etc but Starr's Mill is at a minimum and it is up to the parents to control that and let the school concentrate on educating the children.
