In my three years of experience, I've found that this school is more about meeting policy and appearances than actually making sure that the students are succeeding. They seem to aim to get their requirements covered. It is also true that the principal is pratically nonexistant. A lot is left up to the

Although you will get plenty of friendly smiles and greetings, underneath the fluff, there are few teachers that actually show genuine interest in seeing those that required extra attention succeed as well. They don't do real field trips and they seriously lack in application of the curriculum to real life. Overall, I would say that it is a good school if your child is a fairly independent learner that can excel without much individual attention. I feel Alcove has been one of the best schools my children have attended. My children have moved alot in thier lives and they have fallen behind in many ways.
