In August of 2004 there were issues brought up that were on both sides of the fence. I find myself wondering where some of it was coming from and am reminded that some people are 'part of the problem' and others go in and help 'take care of problems.' Every school in this county has its share of issues.

She thrived because she was pushed at home, pushed by her teachers and most of all because she pushed herself. CCES has the best interest of every student at every learning level at heart and if you do not belive that then I challenge you to provide occasions where they did not work hard for your child. I would like to have a list of field trips at the beginning of the year so that parents can request time off to attend. We need more sport activities for elementary school kids. Soccer for instance the girls at the school don't want to play baseball or basketball all the time. We need more choices.

I have been pleased with this school. My 13yo, and 9yo have been here for 2 years now. Being in the military exposes us to alot of different styles of teaching, and I have to say that this has been an extreamly pleasant environment.

I have been apart of this county for 26 years and have seen this school go from 200-500 students. Our school has not been on the Needs improvement list, in fact this year it has made its 4th or 5th year and was labeled school of excellence. We could not have a better principal who has made every effort

I can not believe what that one parent thought. This school is so focused on all the children, not just the accelerated. My child is in seventh grade and has been at Chatt Co his entire school career. The class sizes are small and he gets a lot of individual attention and his teachers have worked extra

I think he/she would receive an eye opening experience. (Not for the better) Chattahoochee County has sooo many resources. Each classroom has at least five computers and access to class sets of laptops. Reading and Math materials are in abundance as well as everyday supplies such as pencils, crayons, scissors, gluesticks etc. I have relatives who are in Alabama schools and there is no comparison. I personally think Chattco is a sorry excuse of a school! Alot of underpriviledged children attend Chattco and they are pushed to the side and the advanced children are treated like they are the only kids with a future! There are some teachers who have attitude problems and anger issues! For the most
... Read more part the teachers are ok but the ones running the school are more interested in the advanced kids then trying to level the playing field! I don't believe the PTA works for all the children in the school, only the ones in sports, band, advanced classes, and ones with money! The children whose parents struggle everyday to pay the bills are pushed aside like they will never amount to anything! I think it should be more equal in the school! I think all kids should receive an equal education, no matter what! Read less

Chatco is really a diamond in the rough. Compared to the other schools in the surrounding rural counties, Chatco is really the shining example. The teachers, staff, and especially principal is outstanding. All the staff genuinely cares for the students. It is really a great school. I was a teacher

I personally think it stinks that my children are limited to one school. While the counties surrounding us have a choice. Our school is substandard and they are not very well equiped. Our children struggle to make a passing grade. Don't you wonder why in a school that small is there not enough books
... Read more and other resources. The principle is paying more attention to the accelerated program (which here grandchildren are apart of) than to the children are in the middle. Fund raisers are being used to fund trips to six flags for the children in the accelerated program instead of raising funds to increase the number of books in the school. I quit the PTA because they were not discussing items that mattered instead they put on plays and sold popcorn and we still don't know what that money is being used for. Something needs to be done.
