Whoever said that the school is based on a hierarchy of 'Baptist jocks' is as ignorant as the grammar used in the review. The school has an outlet for every student body whether it be in the sports department or the regionally (if not nationally) acclaimed band program. Also, note, that when comparing ...  Read more

My kids have gone to different schools in Ga as well as other states. We have been in Carrollton for about 4 years and thus far have no plans on ever leaving. They have met way beyond my expectations with academics and the community support. My son has a very high IQ which other schools recognized ...  Read more

I just started attending this school about 6 months ago. All I got to say is it's all about the rich kids and jocks. My 2 children attended the Carrollton City School System for the past several years. It's very hard to fit into a niche here. Discipline is unfair and more emphasis on sports. If you are in a sport, you are treated differently than other students. The school of excellence should no longer be the motto. ...  Read more

Two of my three children attended Carrollton Jr. High and then we had to move to a surburban county about 50 miles away. We are finding out the 'hard' way that Carrollton exceeds most standards set for academic achievement. We were very fortunate to have experienced this excellence in education --from ...  Read more

I attended the Carrollton City schools from Kindergarden through High School. I graduated in 2004 in the top of my class. I'm now attending Brenau University and I feel that I was very prepared for college. Most students at the school are involved in some kind of activity. CHS is VERY successful in almost ...  Read more

Both my children graduated from Carrollton (GA) HS. While they both did well in school (B or better averages), neither was adequately prepared for college. Admin (and many parents) seemed more interested in sports (mainly football) and band programs than academic quality.
