Having two children there, I was disappointed and have now put my kids in private school. When Dr. Manzella left it has been down hill ever since then. The teachers, staff, parents and students all are unhappy. We have lost many good teachers that have left the last two years. Students have had

FMS has been my home for the last 3 years. As an 8th grader moving to WHS next year i must say freedom has its ups and downs. The begging of the year was not the best. I got % days of OSS for some really kidish stuff that should have been less. The last couple of months at Freedom have been pretty fun

We left APS and started here last year for grade 6. My son sailed through his first year at Freedom and I am thrilled he has the opportunity to take grade 9 math in grade 7. Just happy there is a great group of teachers.

Freedom has so far been good to excellent for my diverse learning children. I have an honors student and a special needs student. Both have done well at the school. I think the Dr. Manzella was very supportive of the special needs population and understood our children's unusual learning requirements.

Read more Also, on the other end of the spectrum, the honors courses are rigorous and in line with our expectations on getting our oldest child into high school advanced learning programs and eventually to the college of his choice. I find that the people who complain about good schools like this are the same ones that do not put the responsibility for learning on their child and like to blame others for their child's lack of achievement. New is not better. Our child has attended this school for 2 years and needless to say, our other children will NOT be attending. Quality of teachers varies drastically. Even though all AP classes were accomplished with high 80's to high 90's, we were still denied the priviledge of particular academics such as the level of Math or Spanish! These choices were not disclosed to parents in advance nor was the information given when requested. Please, get more involved in the subjects, homework, and academic choices. Read less

Advanced Placement
