South Cobb is the worst school!! I do not like it for nothing. The students are ghetto and the lunch is not that good. Half the teachers can't teach it's sad. I came from north cobb and north cobb is much better! They don't even have that much AP classes to take.

As a parent of three South Cobb graduates I can not believe anyone would call this school anything but disgraceful. Currently I have a senior and a sophomore who are being moved to another county to finish out High School. The graduation ceremony itself was a farce, both poorly planned and executed.
... Read more There was inantiquate parking and seating, accompanied by poor crowd control. Instead of parading the faculty out in a musical fashion and having them take up a multitude of seating that should have been reserved for family; they should have been dispersed throughout the crowd to help with noise and seating. The graduates were not even visible by their family members and the audio was drowned out by rude audience members. The high point of SCHS is the ROTC program, Col Bradley and his staff. The administration is very rude and unwilling to help with many problems because 'they have more important things to do'. I cannot believe whoever enrolls all of the people in this school but they must realize it is extremely over crowded. I graduated from Schs a few years ago and still have great memories of the school. Although the counselor wasn't all that great, Dr. Rivera compensated for her shortcomings. I worked in the front office for one of my classes and can say that Dr. Rivera is real down to earth and honestly cares about the

One thing I vividly remember about him is my graduation day and the smile he had for me once I walked across the stage and then as I meet him to receive my certificate, he told me how proud he was of me. Memories like this make me proud to be an alumni of south cobb high school. I am a parent of a 2008/9 Senior who is a very consciencious student, thank goodness. Unfortunately it seems that although we have been blessed with an awesome principle, the teaching and counceling staff have ignored the need for several informative meetings with both the student body and parents

* In 2007-2008 Georgia administered the Georgia High School Graduation Test (GHSGT) in English language arts, math, science and social studies to students in grade 11. Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Adult Education Classes
Programs offering GED or equivalent courses for adults within regular schools, whether classes are held during evening or daytime schedules.
English as Second Language
