... Read more quite successful for my child who has blossomed and excelled at a very high rate during this past school year. It is important to me that my children be exposed to Biblical principles while learning the rudiments of reading, writing and arithmetic. Mt. Nebo accomplishes this quite successfully. It is my hope that the program will expand and that other parents will have the opportunity to enroll their children. I would love to see more community businesses and private organizations embrace the school and offer monetary and physical support so that our children will have the advantages needed to succeed. Mt. Nebo Christian Academy is an excellent school. It is a christian based private school that uses the Abeka curriculum. The students are taught discipline and skills that are needed for everyday life.

I have taught many students who were products of Mt. Nebo Christain Academy. Everyone that I have encountered have exceeded state standards, think intelligently, and present themselves with the highest moral values. Each day the students are engaged in learning that requires critical thinking, which is unusual in early childhood education. Teachers are professional and approachable. My child was previously enrolled in another Christian Academy where he did not learn anything. So I switched him over to Mt. Nebo at the beginning of the schools year. Within a month I notice a difference. He was excited about learning. He was learning about God, shapes, numbers, colors and much more.

My child attends Pre-K at Mt. Nebo this year. I have been very pleased with the education my child has received. They send home progress reports twice yearly, have parent teacher conferences, and keep portfolios of my child's work. The school follows Pre-K guideline and the content standards provided

My child attends Mt. Nebo. At first I was very very excited about the program (preK). The orientation was very encouraging. After about 4 months into the school year. I was highly disappointed. The teachers are forever changing. The principal was either terminated or just left. I am not sure who
... Read more the principal is now. I have been reviewing the homework and I don't think there is a lot of learning going on. My child tells me that the teachers are always yelling and they spend most of the time with their heads on the table. The children repeat what the teachers say, and if they teachers aren't speaking correct English, what is that saying for my child? I pray they get it right. This school has been a big disappointment to me also. I had heard such great things about Mt. Nebo from other parents. Since the first day of school it has been problematic. The teachers do not send notes homes for the parents. They expect the children to relay all messages. I have often had to call

AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School
