4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is perfect. There are wonderful teachers in all subjects and especially we like Mrs. Goetz. This level of dedication and personalized attention truly sets her apart as an exceptional educator. Also I always got quick responses when emailing teachers and front desk. It is a small school so the teachers know the students well and really care and want to help.Parent Review11mo ago - Hungerford Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIn 2009 I submitted a very favorable review; I must express my deepest concerns however, at the present time. There has been a changeover of principals and new policy changes have taken the school from its former policy of being open to parents and the community, to shutting the school away from parents and forbidding their presence on the campus. The morale is very much lower than it was; the staff is still very dedicated but I don't think they are being helped and given the support they need by the current administration. It is sad to see this little community school turned into hard, cold, county school!Parent Review12y ago - The Parke House Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to this school from Pre-K to the Fourth Grade. I am now 22 years old, just graduated college with a psychology degree, and I'm about to start my master's degree. I often think about how blessed I was to be able to go to a school like this. This school provided so many opportunities that helped me get ahead of most people my age. This school made learning fun and easy for a visual learner, like me. Some of the best classes that I took were: Spanish, Pottery, Etiquette, coding, and an amazing Literature class. There are no "stereotypes" here. Clubs are encouraged. I remember joining chess club when I went there and never worried about what anyone thought because this was a school where being smart was cool and accepted. I'm not sure how the school has changed over the years, but this was a very diverse school that provided lots of cultural knowledge and is still to this day, one of the best schools I have ever attended. I owe all of my future success to this school because It shaped me into the person I am today. My brother also went to this school and he is now a Doctor in Nebraska. If this school is anything as it was before, don't make the mistake of putting your child in a different school. This is a school with the perfect balance of challenge and encouragement, and I wish I had known what an impact it would have on my life at the time.Other Review9mo ago - Beeman Park Preparatory School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHaving been part of the St. Margaret Mary Catholic School community for over eight years, we’ve grown to admire the leadership and dedication to student education. Nonetheless, we believe there's an opportunity for the school to enhance its offerings, particularly in modernizing and expanding extracurricular activities, clubs, upper class electives, and focus areas such as STEM, to meet a broader range of student needs and interests. My observation over the years is that students who fit the traditional academic mold tend to thrive here. However, I've noticed that students with unique learning needs or those who significantly outpace grade-level expectations may not receive the support or enrichment they require, especially in grades 6 through 8. While elementary students with learning challenges receive attention, this support appears to taper off in later grades, often limited to additional math instruction.Similarly, while the RISE STEM program for fourth graders and above is commendable, its limited availability (only two hours per week) and the absence of other STEM-related clubs for elementary students seem like missed opportunities for children eager to explore and excel in these fields.I believe that expanding support services for students with learning challenges, along with introducing more advanced learning opportunities and extracurricular activities, could significantly enhance the educational experience for all students, not just those "cookie cutter" students who fit the conventional academic profile.Enhancing the school's offerings would not only support students across the academic spectrum but also align with the school's commitment to fostering a rigorous and inclusive educational environment.Parent Review3w ago - Park Maitland School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePark Maitland is hands down the BEST school in the central Florida area after our several years of research and talking to friends and colleagues with children in the school system. The administration is committed to providing the best possible educational environment for its children. They focus on the child as a whole- fostering the development of good, contributing citizens of our society. Their curricula are rigorous and challenging but presented in a way that makes learning enjoyable to students. The teachers are second to none with their strong commitment and passion for educating future, bright minds! Highly recommend this school to any families looking for a warm, nurturing environment for their children where academic excellence meets creativity in a school that will quickly become like home and an administration and teacher group that immediately embrace you like family.Parent Review6mo ago - Orlando Junior Academy
