Read what parents are saying about Bowman AcademyWithout any doubt the best preschool experience available. The faculty AND administration are committed, nurturing and supportive. My two children are now excelling in elementary school due in no small part to the foundation they received at Bowman. There they experienced a well balanced mix of learning, play, fun and stability. I wish I wrote this review years ago if only to encourage more families to send there children there. How often can anyone honestly say something was "worth every penny"? You will here.
Posted by a parent on 2/1/2015We love everything about Bowman Academy! Our Daughter goes there and she loves it! The staff is excellent all around!!!
Posted by a parent on 2/3/2014My children love going to Bowman. They brought my shy daughter out of her shell and helped break her "cling" to mom. My son is older and amazingly excelling. I am amazed every day by the things he tells me and how much he is growing, it is a wonderful, caring and loving environment. Everyone who works there is amazing. Sign up without hesitation if you are lucky enough to get a spot for your child.
Posted by a parent on 1/24/2014My Son began at Bowman this fall and from day one he has been excited about going to school here! His teachers are very attentive and involved with the students. They are very skilled in recognizing the child's needs and are very hands on in development. Not once have I had an issue with them updating me on my son's Progress, development or struggles. They offer a structured curriculum vs. all day play like some pre-schools and the parents are aware of monthly themes so the information can be reinforced at home. I love that enrollment is annual versus revolving and they have a "calendar year". Spots in this academy are limited and in high demand and for good reason! I love that they have a very strict illness policy. When it comes to illness and handling possible exposure they are on top of it. They do not hesitate to notify parents (via email or verbally) when there is a concern. This is an established school with a seasoned staff! I also love that it is nestled in a quiet, established area. We just completed registration for the 2014 -15 year for both my son and daughter. I hope to keep them there until they are ready for Kindergarten!
Posted by a parent on 1/22/2014My daughter attended Bowman Academy for three years. Not only did she excel in each class under very loving and attentive teachers but the socialization skills she learned were invaluable. She started Kindergarten this year and by the half way mark of the year was already at a 1st grade level. I attribute a lot of this to Bowman and the teachers. We still talk about Bowman once a week and it makes me so happy that she has such wonderful memories of her early school years. What a gift Bowman was. I recommend the school to everyone I meet with young kids.

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat school. 3 of my children attended Cannella. They all love it and did well here. Keep in mind that these schools are graded on test scores and unfortunately the high level of non English speakers attending, tends to lower scores at all of the schools where many of the children speak another language at home. The school has programs to assist, but can only do so much when it is not practiced at home as well. Just a fact. This school is much better than the score reflects and would send any child here with confidence.Parent Review2y ago - Carrollwood Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur child transferred into the 4th grade at Carrollwood K-8 in late November 2023. The kids are very clicky, they have their circle of friends and are not welcoming to anyone new. So far the teachers have been welcoming however there seems to be a hyper-focus on state testing which is unfortunate because all the kids are learning is memorization. They memorize things so they can spit them out again for the numerous state tests throughout the year. They are not taught how to think. The PTA is also lacking.Parent Review1mo ago - Crestwood Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAll they care about is attendance and not what the actual student needs or may be struggling with. The principal won’t even acknowledge you if you see her. Awful student pick up set up, even the walkers are left out in the Sun or rain with no covering. I do not recommend this schoolParent Review1y ago - Lake Magdalene Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLake Magdalene is a true example of an exceptional public school. The teachers, staff, and administration are invested in the students, families, and keeping the rich history of this school, alive. My children have attended this school for the past 4 years, and I keep sending them here year after year, even after being offered a spot at several “prestigious” charter schools. Lake Magdalene is a gem, and I hope the school continues to thrive for generations to come. Thank you, LMES!!!Parent Review1y ago - Twin Lakes Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had to remove my child from this environment due to blatant discrimination by the lead teacher. The lead teacher did not discipline students who were bullying my child, but rather made excuses for the aggressors. She would also write reports up about my child when my child had to defend herself against bullying. The lead teacher would conveniently leave out the aggressions initiated by bullies that caused my child to react. I’d only get a full account of what transpired by asking probing questions that ultimately led her to confessing that my child was first hit by a bully on the playground (this was just one event among many). This and many other accounts where my child was discriminated against both blatantly and passive aggressively led me to remove my child from this environment. Also an award that was supposed to be given by student votes was rigged and manipulated by the lead teacher to favor who she wanted to receive the award, so integrity is questionable. Additionally when my child was struggling in math I was not notified early on or updated on her progress (I found out because I pay close attention to my child’s performance) which made me believe that my child was intentionally not positioned to have support that could have led to better outcomes. Pay close attention to micro aggressions towards minority children because this was not a positive experience.Parent Review2mo ago - Lake Magdalene Umc Early Childhood Center
