Read what parents are saying about American High SchoolI think American Highschool is pretty great, some tech issues that aren't hard to fix once speaking with tech support, We have UNLIMITED access to tools and resources such as teams in our office 365 that we can reach out to the teachers Monday through Friday for same day messaging. If we come across a financial hiccup all we do is call our counselor or billing to see what options they have. The counseling department and admissions are completely separate so that's one thing I do/don't like because they aren't always on the same page but never fail to come up with a great solution. The school is great if we as students/parents keep on top of our children as well, it's at your own pace and the counselors do follow up but it's what we're doing at home as well.
Posted by a parent on 12/7/2020Awful experience from beginning to end! This school changes teachers, guidance counselors, policies and procedures with no notice. There is no help when there are technical issues, no communication from staff/faculty and they use "Google Voice" phone numbers. No one at this school is invested in the success of students. There are some really AMAZING virtual schools out there, but this definitely is NOT one of them. The people who work here lack integrity, empathy and human kindness.
Posted by a parent on 12/6/2020It's the best decision I ever made when I asked my parents to go to school online. American high school is really the best. Flexible, updated, and the people. Ive been here 7th grade and I'm now in 11th.

Posted by a community member on 3/14/2019I highly recommend this school. Students go at their own pace and the teachers, principle and the entire staff truly care about each and ever student. They are fair and compassionate and they want your child to learn and to have a positive experience. Everyone; students and parents are treated with respect. Wonderful school

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had good experiences with a couple teachers - special needs and general ed. However, when issues arose that forced me to contact the school board, principal Deutsch and the teacher retaliated against us. There is no good support system there if there are issues or bullying.Parent Review2y ago - Mirror Lake Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFirst Grade High Achieving classroom is great - teacher (Mrs. Gresham) has a very dynamic teaching style - her kids look forward to their projects and school spirit days with such enthusiasm - might be the costumes and wigs she wears for every occasion! Great school atmosphere and the administration is on top of safety and community outreach, so all around GREAT school!Parent Review1y ago - Central Park Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has been in Central Park for the last 4 years (1st-4th grade). My son has been bullied in this school and neither the administration nor the teachers have done anything about it. They say they take bullying very seriously, but there has been no consequences for the kids actions. My son has been hit on, pushed, called names, his lunch has been stolen, and nobody has done anything about it. Don't be fooled by all the wonderful things they say about this school. When it comes to your child's safety, this school is no help at all. The principal even started laughing, and would not stop laughing, at one of the meetings that I had with her about the bullying that my son was enduring.Parent Review2y ago - Fox Trail Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIhave had an excellent 1 st year. My child will begin his second yeat in the fall. He is eligible for a MCKay scholarship and we can afford to send him to any private school but I don’t want him anywhere else.Parent Review5y ago - Our Savior Lutheran School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a former student If you want what's best for your child, do not send your child to this school. This school is absolutely draining – the teachers are horrible and manipulative, and the students are even worse. The reason why this school is draining is because the teachers are overwhelming, and you can get a referral for breathing too hard around the principal. The students are rude and disrespectful, and the school does not prepare you for high school at all. Additionally, the school seems to be money-hungry, charging double the price of everything. All of the students who have graduated have said that they've been happier since they left the school. Trust me, you don't want to send your child here.Other Review8mo ago - Candil Jacaranda School
