Read what parents are saying about American Heritage SchoolAll three of my children attended American Heritage School. The Elementary, Middle, and High schools, offer a wide variety of classes, programs, and activities/clubs. My eldest two children very much enjoyed the school's stellar theatre program, while my youngest thrived in the school's pre law program. After each of my children graduated American Heritage School, they moved on to college. My eldest attended SCAD in Savannah, Georgia, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with an Industrial Design degree, became a Walt Disney Imagineer, and went on to work in his career with both Disney, and Universal Studios. My middle child attended FSU for both undergraduate and masters programs, graduating Suma Cum Laude with a degree in Art Education, and enjoys a successful career in the arts field. My youngest child wanted a large university experience, and has been at the University of Alabama, where she is on track to graduate Suma Cum Laude. She has taken her LSAT and will be applying to Yale Law School, Stanford Law School, Harvard Law School, and Chicago Law School in September, 2023. Something of great note, all three of my children found that the college curriculum in their respective schools, was not as challenging as they had expected. Each one of them attribute their ease of success in college to the exemplary college preparatory education that they received at American Heritage School. There are many schools advertising themselves as being a college preparatory school, however, these terms are used very loosely today. American Heritage is a true college preparatory school, and each of my children have separately thanked my husband and me for giving them this gift of a high level education in preparation for college.
Posted by a parent on 8/22/2023Both of my children started at American Heritage in PK3. The teachers are caring and loving while keeping the expectations high. There are so many activities and programs to choose from that my children are able to broaden their horizons. The progression from grade level to grade level allows the students to be prepared and successful while meeting the needs of all learners. The decision to bring my children here was one of the best things I could have done for them.
Posted by a teacher on 1/12/2021American Heritage is a great school. The campus is beautiful, clean and extremely safe. My children are new to American Heritage School and they are enjoying all of the programs/curriculum that this school has to offer. I know that my children will be successful in their future endeavors.
Posted by a parent on 1/11/2021Moving from the northeast and looking for a school in Florida was one of the most stressful things we ever had to do as a family. We looked at almost every private school from Vero Beach to Miami, nothing felt like a good fit for my child. The day we came to tour this campus I knew we were home! Beginning in lower school and right through the upper-school the academic curriculum, as well as the pre-professional, fine arts, robotics, and so many more opportunities, are amazing. American Heritage School was the easiest and best decision we ever had to make.
Posted by a parent on 1/11/2021I highly recommend this school! I am thoroughly impressed by everything about it: academics, safety, after-school activities, sports. My high school senior is on track to become a National Merit scholar. He's traveled the country with the Debate and Model UN teams. My elementary school aged son enjoys engaging classes and two specials each day (our old public school offered 4 each week.) Everyone is helpful, friendly, and truly care about the children and their success. I am so happy my children are part of the AHS "family."

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has been in Central Park for the last 4 years (1st-4th grade). My son has been bullied in this school and neither the administration nor the teachers have done anything about it. They say they take bullying very seriously, but there has been no consequences for the kids actions. My son has been hit on, pushed, called names, his lunch has been stolen, and nobody has done anything about it. Don't be fooled by all the wonderful things they say about this school. When it comes to your child's safety, this school is no help at all. The principal even started laughing, and would not stop laughing, at one of the meetings that I had with her about the bullying that my son was enduring.Parent Review2y ago - Phyl's Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent who has been involved with SBS for over four and a half years, it's disheartening to share my experience with the administration. Unfortunately, the leadership under the Principal has created an environment marred by favoritism, lack of accountability, and disregard for the concerns of parents. It's openly admitted that she shows preferential treatment towards her friends and their children, while disregarding the needs and concerns of other students and parents. This favoritism extends beyond personal relationships and influences decisions regarding teacher conduct and adherence to school policies. Teachers who are in the inner circle of the Principal seem to operate under a different set of rules, often avoiding consequences for their actions or neglecting to follow established protocols. This double standard not only undermines the integrity of the school but also leads to frustration and disillusionment among the staff. The consequences of this administration's actions are evident in the departure of talented and dedicated educators from SBS. Many excellent teachers have chosen to leave due to the toxic atmosphere perpetuated by favoritism and lack of accountability. This turnover not only disrupts the continuity of education but also deprives students of valuable mentorship and support. The administration's failure to address bullying and misconduct exacerbates the issue. Instead of taking decisive action to protect students and promote a safe learning environment, there have been instances where bullies are shielded from consequences, while victims are left vulnerable and unsupported. Additionally, the administration has been known to foster unnecessary drama instead of providing clear direction to its staff, further eroding trust within the school community. In order for SBS to go back to what it was, a small close community, the administration should prioritize the needs of all students, listen to parents and create a positive and equitable learning environment for everyone.Parent Review1mo ago - Developmental Preschool Kindergarten

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePossibly the best PreK you will find. I drove 25 minutes everyday, while I have at least 10 schools near me. Miss Laurie is an incredible and involved principal. The school is clean, they are on top of their education and the teachers are stellar. My daughter was with Miss Sabrina and Miss Jo, amazing teachers! If you’re looking for a loving environment where the kids will be happy, healthy and learn, go to DPK!Parent Review1y ago - Parkway Christian Elementary School
