Read what parents are saying about Ibn Seena AcademyAfter my child was in this school for several years, I can fairly say that I constantly hoped for improvement. But the improvement was never an idea. This school is so stuck on its beliefs and teaches children to judge others. My children were coming home losing all the morals we taught them about being open-minded and respecting others regardless of their beliefs. Please don't come here, they undo all the work that parents put into their kids.
Posted by a parent on 2/12/2023I am now graduating high school, but most of my comments about the school are negative. There are so many issues that are overlooked. For example sexism, teachers favor boys so much to the point where female students feel invalidated. The teachers constantly have the attitude that ''boys will be boys'' and that ''girls should be calm and quiet'' etc. This mindset is extremely harmful to students. As well as forcing female students to wear the hijab in such an aggressive way, obviously, it's a Muslim school so you would expect Muslim ideas and practices. But, it's Florida, and I remember the days being so hot and the heat of the sun hitting me right in the face I removed one piece of my hijab (I was not a hijabi) and the teachers started telling us immediately to cover our heads. As well as another time when one of my friend's hijabs was off and the teacher told them to stop showing off her hair. Her hair was in a ponytail while she was just trying to run and have fun, and somehow she was ''showing off''? Honestly, this school ruined my idea of Islam, I remember in 8th grade I was genuinely confused about the rules and how they were enforced. I now have a struggling relationship with the hijab. Although I won't blame it all on the school, I will say most of my problems in my faith have come from this school. And oh my, the Arabic and Quran curriculum was horrible. Many students could not even read Arabic because of the harsh way it was taught and they somehow were expected to do vocabulary tests and write Arabic words on their own. Students could barely read the language, let alone spell Arabic words independently. And when students would tell teachers that they still didn't have the foundation of the tests they were given, the response was ALWAYS blaming the students. Saying that it was the student's fault for not paying attention, etc. Often, when students wouldn't pay attention it would be because they had no idea what was being taught because they COULD NOT even do the basics. So most of the students just ended up giving up and facing the fact that they were either going to have to cheat to pass or to fail. And I can say that cheating is a bad thing, but students should NEVER have to be faced with cheating or failing because they have no help from teachers or non-Arabic-speaking parents. There are so many more issues such as racism and judgment that the school would do to students based on their parents or where they were from. Please dont come here.

We loved her. After all pandemic delays, my daughter is able to read really well and at the beginning she could not. I always been welcomed there when needed.
