Read what parents are saying about Oldsmar Christian SchoolWe have been going to this school now for almost a year. I have read the reviews and I can say, as of right now, this school is pretty amazing. The staff is always there if you need to talk to them about your child. Yes, there are contingencies in place if your child acts up but it is not too harsh. We have not had any bullying issues yet. Are child does NOT have any special learning issues, so I cannot comment on this aspect. My advice to parents with learning issues is to do their research and pick a school that will help their child. OR maybe step up and do some of the teachings themselves. Either way, I think this school is pretty awesome. Small classes help with direct contact with all students. Again, this is only the 2nd year our student is going to this school, and things chang. Teachers chage. So, we shall see.
Posted by a parent on 8/5/2022too much homework and spent all my weekends writing demerits.
Posted by a student on 8/31/2021We loved it for our family. Three of our children went on to college finished strong in their chosen careers and life choices after graduating from Oldsmar Christian. The school and staff cared about each of my children and always stayed in direct communication about grades, issues, or needs. None of my children got "lost". They were all loved and cared for with extra attention exactly where they needed it.
Posted by a parent on 4/9/2021We love it! All four of our children attended and now our grandchildren are attending. It says something for a school when its graduates later send their own children to be educated there.
Posted by a parent on 10/6/2020So far is been great. My son has a hard time going to the public school, he was so unhappy and not motivated at all. He would come home and cry very often. Oldsmar Cristian has been a life saver, my son now comes home with a smile in his face everyday and despite of his learning issues and feels motivated because he has a teacher that really cares and works with him. I think all he needed was to feel someone was there to help him and he gets that at Oldsmar Cristian. Everyone and this school are so nice, they care, they are like family. Small environment allow to have a much warmer feel than the public school.

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLowry is a great school. The importance of elementary school can’t be measured. With one primary teacher and the life setting goals it’s so important to get the right fit with that one teacher. They can change a child’s life by keeping them excited for the upcoming years and teaching the fundamentals. I have not experienced a teacher at Lowery not able to accomplish this goal. I highly recommend Lowry Elementary School.Parent Review1y ago - Oldsmar Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageUsed to be a decent school when Dr. Moss was there. The new principal came from private school and it shows. Has no respect for the ESE kids, if you push back she will send you packing. A lot of the teachers here are just buying time until retirement. Only a handful of teachers TRULY care and most of them are in the ESE team. HUGE issue with bullying!! Talked to multiple parents who have switched their kids out of Oldsmar due to the bullying problem.Parent Review2y ago - Forest Lakes Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kids have been very happy at this school. The teachers really care about the students and their success. We feel comfortable with the measures they have taken during the pandemic. We have had no instances of bullying with my two kids. I feel that communication with parents could be improved upon. It would be nice to see like a weekly flyer or something letting us know what the kids are working on.Parent Review2y ago - Espiritu Santo Catholic School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child has been a student at ESCS for 3 years. Although we have been dealing with Covid-19 for 2 years so far, the school has done a tremendous job in terms of its leadership, communication, and daily approach to educating its students while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. The school has a gifted program and offers a number of extracurricular activities for the artistic, academic, and athletic interests of its students. My husband was thoroughly impressed by their approach to technology including discussing social media and internet safety from a young age with students to help them navigate the challenges they may be faced with in a real world setting. The teachers and administration all know my daughter by name, are always willing to help, and are trained in responsive classroom management, which during these times, is truly a blessing. Lastly, ESCS is a Catholic School and imbues the principles of the Catholic faith into how students interact with each other and the greater community. Each time I volunteer or work with the school community, I find that everyone comes with a purpose to lift each other and support our school and community.Parent Review2y ago - Espiritu Santo Catholic School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageInitially I really loved this school. The community is fantastic and I enjoyed all of the parental involvement. Year 2 here and we are struggling with a lot of bullying amongst the children. They don’t have an effective plan to handle bullying except basic concepts that are really ineffective in changing behavior. I’ve also been concerned about the quality of teaching now as well. The qualifications for teachers is not regulated. My child does the same worksheets every week and states he’s bored because he already learned how to do that already. I feel like they aren’t addressing individual children’s growth and tailoring their learning to that. His scores have shown he has not improved since the beginning of the school year, he has remained stagnant in learning even though he is above average. Overall, I think the school is average and I’m just concerned it’s not at a private school level.Parent Review1y ago
