A year ago, I could not of ever imagined sending my kids anywhere else. BCS was like an extended part of the family. Fast forward a year and I can't get my son out of there fast enough. He learned to read in K4. The K5 teacher brought out the best of every child. He loved going everyday in 1st and wrote

He is going to need tutoring just to attend public school next year. The kids are allowed to yell and push each other. BCS has earned a reputation of sacrificing the good kids in the attempt to rehabilitate the bad. Well, they earned it! Many 'affluent ' families have left because of this. Big finanical problems. She has a great teacher that is so good with the children I swear that she must be a Jedi as I've never seen anybody get a room full of children to quiet down with nary a word being spoken. ... Read more community is awesome as well. A parent just hosted a party for all parents from all the pre-school classes K2-K5. The party was very nice and was open to all, regardless of socio-economic status. The parents here just have such a commitment to their children and each other it is so wonderful. A new principal was just hired and his leadership is amazing. He is bringing good things here that will allow BCS to be one of the best schools in the state! Read less

... Read more administration is not teacher friendly and placates parents. Per several other comments, there is favoritism displayed blantantly towards certain families with a higher income level. They do lack extracurricular activities, with pre/post school care programs not at the level they should be. The lunches still need improvement. Yes, you donate or participate in fundraisers (1 per quarter) but most schools execute these same types of activities. There are some excellent teachers that provide education. The K4, K5 and 2nd grade teachers are incredible. We will not enroll our child next year at BCS. Read less

I graduated from Bayshore in 2001, after attending the school from kindergarten on up. What a blessing this school is! I am now planning on enrolling my 5 year old stepdaughter at the school. This will guarantee her a solid education with strong values and Biblical knowledge. I love BCS!

I have a 6 year old and a 4 year old attending Bayshore currently. Compared to Providence Christian School in Brandon, this school is fantastic! The teachers are awesome and my children LOVE to go to school. Yes, they do ask for money a lot, and do lots of fund raisers, but what school doesn't do that....

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
