I don t think there are many other schools where I could say that I was friends with my teachers. The off campus education programs to the Everglades, New York City, and Costa Rica are some of my favorite things. The college guidance system offers one-on-one attention, and I know that, when it s time to move on, I will be attending the right college for me, backed by the special support of my counselor and teachers. My son just graduated in the school's first graduating class and earned with excellent guidance, acceptance into a wonderful college. The teachers all care about the kids - the program is challenging and supportive - great ways for students to get involved. The Pine School is a gem!

The school has one point in it's favor; it lacks competition. Academically, it does not meet the critera of an independent private school (weak). My three children attend The Pine Lower School and I am very pleased. The academics are exceptional. The discipline is great. All children are treated fairly. The parent involvement is wonderful. My child was in the Early Learners (age 3 & 4) last year and she had a wonderful experience. The teachers were caring and nurturing. In addition to a pre-school curriculum, she had dance, Music Together, Spanish, Chinese, P.E. in a gym and catered healthy, hot lunches! We can't be happier with our

The school is having alot of problems. Many good teachers have left and they cannot keep good teachers. They also are losing many good students and taking any student that they can get. The school needs money and it shows. This years PSAT scores were terrible. Save your money!

My son is currently in his 7th year at the school and rarely if ever does he have 2 hours + of homework. The emphasis on the arts and althetics and inclusion of ALL students has played a huge role in the development of my child into becoming a knowledgable, tolerant, global citizen. This school has a wonderful academic program with about 15 students per class. The students are assigned 2 hours or more of homework almost every night. Weekend homework is expected. This would be a much better academic experience, if homework was no more than 1.5 hours each night. My child so badly

I attended this school for 5 years. The quality of academics is adequate and the class size is good. The availability of the extracurricular activities is superior to the public school and parental involvement was outstanding. I would recommend this school and was pleased with my high school preparation.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
