The availability of AP and honors courses rival most high schools in this area. Student's have many avenues in which to express their talents.

I love all my teachers, I was new this year and my teachers made me feel accepted. Mr. Roland really opened my eyes to the study of psycology.

this is an amazing school. i love it! i am a cheerleader for booker t. washington highschool and i absolutely love the many varieties of extra curricular activities thy provide for the students. i make very good grades and recommend this school to all high school students

The leadership of this school has changed quite a bit since I was there, but many of the instructors are still around. This school has a lot of resources available to the students, especially in the arts (photo lab, video studio), and industrial arts (mechanical drafting, architechture, wood shop). ...  Read more

educational environment teachers & factulty work parents & students. For the 1st in the school's history the band director is african-american. It's the highschool in the district to serve Exceptional Student Education.

* In 2008-2009 Florida used the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) to test students in grades 3 through 10 in reading and math; in grades 4, 8 and 10 in writing; and in grades 5, 8 and 11 in science. The FCAT Writing results are displayed separately on GreatSchools profiles. The FCAT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Florida. The FCAT has 5 achievement levels, with level 1 being the lowest and level 5 the highest. Florida considers scores of level 3 and higher to be on or above grade level.
