The teachers at the lower school are amazing. My daughter's teacher really has tried to individualize her education. She found areas where my child excelled and used those to push her further while addressing areas where she needed extra attention. The teacher assistants are so knowledgable and caring.

We have been very happy with the atmosphere at the school, it is so refreshing to be in the hall in the morning when they begin the day with a prayer. When my daughter was in 7th grade she had some problems

EDS is a good school for someone who has a younger child. But now they have gotten very serious on how they handle the actions of the student. I have a child in the seventh grade and she always complains to me that she has alot of homework.

My daughter attended EDS after attending a different private school in the area. Comparing the two I have found the style of teaching and the academics to be behind her previous school. My other child will not be attending EDS. I much prefer a school that does not have the 'inner city school' surroundings.

Although I believe my children are receiving an excellent education, I am thrilled that they are learning so much more. I have been a parent at EDS for four years but I spent last year as a teacher's aide at the school. We loved EDS and I was a little afraid the rose-colored glasses would be shattered.

One day I was leaving school and passed the janitor sitting on the hall floor with a kindergartener teaching her to tie her shoes. It was a perfect example of the loving environment my children are immersed in every day. I am so happy to have found such a great place for my children to learn and grow. Read less

I have had a negative experience at EDS and this forum allows one to share that information.
