23 Parent Reviews for Odyssey Charter School

The school is excellent and keeps getting better each year. The wholistic approach considers every child. The lunch program is refreshing and focuses on fresh vegetables and fruits and leaves behind processed foods. This school, is by far, the best in the area.

I can't claim that Odyssey is perfect, but they are pretty close. They have done so much to improve the school, and continue to do more improvements. The school is all about the children, their health, safety, wellbeing, and life. The whole child as many call it. The cafe is healthy food rather than ...  Read more

I had negative experience with this school as a whole, I will never put my child there. It is a big mess. I cannot write in more details, but believe me, it is a BIG MESS.

I think this is a great school but honestly they need to work on the anti-bullying thing

Ranking this school is difficult as it has both good and bad points. They have an eccellent Art and Music program. They offer extra curricular activities even for the little kids. The children are encouraged to explore their environment at recess rather than just play on equipment. They find out what ...  Read more

I would have to disagree with the last statement. I've actually found Odysseys 'extra help programs' to be nearly invasive. It is a requirement that students who don't read at a certain level to take their after school reading enrichment program. They also provide bussing for everyone in this after ...  Read more

Some Odyssey parents just aren't quite sure how true Montessori works, and this school is very Montessori (through 3rd.) My kindergarten daughter learned to write a weekly lesson plan and work from that each week, helping her to learn independently while still receiving guidnace and instruction from ...  Read more

I have two children that attend Odyssey and in the last two years we have seen many changes, some good and some not so good. My children's teachers have always provided above and beyond what is required of them which is so appreciated by myself and helping build their self confidence at the same time. ...  Read more

My daughter has been with Odyssey for 2 years. kindergarten was great, great teachers. This year, there has been a huge turn over of teachers in her class alone. The parents weren't even notified of the change! We learned about it through our children. We've had questions and concerns and they fell ...  Read more

We have been with this school for 2 years. It has the potential to be a great school but it lacks leadership that is focused on making things better. The administration fails to see any shortcomings of the school. The Montessori approach that the school advertizes promises that each child will learn ...  Read more
