I'm a former student of Tuskawilla Montesorri, having attended from young to the end of the middle school program. TuskMont's forte is with the preschool and elementary school programs, where the Montesorri methods are more applied and more relevant. Enrollment for the middle school program is significantly

(This may be because the middle school program is relatively new, and they're still struggling to find a proper balance for older kids and the Montessori methods at this age. The preschool and elementary school programs are exceptionally strong, though quality can vary depending on teacher. I would recommend asking to sit in on some classes first to get a feel of this school. Overall, I would recommend for younger grades and caution hesitancy for middle school. Read less

My son attended Tuskawilla Montessori from age three until twelve and now both of my younger kids (age 8 and 6) are there. The attention, care and overall education they have received there is excellent. Some people believe the Montessori way is not for every child, I completely disagree with that train
... Read more of thought. My three children are all completely different with individual needs and Tuskawilla Montessori has found a way to help each of them thrive. He now attends a Private Prep School in the area, is an accomplished musician and speaks two languages. Tuskawilla Montessori gave him the best possible learning environment. I would highly recommend Tuskawilla Montessori to any parent looking for a school that is completely focused on the childs best interest. Read less

I am continually impressed by the maturity and joy of the children with whom I interact. My boys love their school time so much they complain when there are holidays, and I have even overheard our middle schoolers talking together about their appreciation and gratitude for the educational opportunitites they have been given! The 'changes' were made to bring the entire school to what they are supposed to be-a Montessori-enriched community. It's sad to hear the administration being called money-hungry or capitalists. They are one of the most generous and caring individuals I have ever met. This is the first time I have submitted a review of this school, but I have read the reviews over recent months, and I must say that the negative comments are absolutely ridiculous, and likely make by one or two disgruntled
... Read more parents who are maliciously trying to ruin the reputation of the school, since they no longer attend TMA. There have certainly been some changes in the 4th-6th grade level this year, to make that department entirely Montessori . There was an adjustment period, but from what I have seen so far, the transition has been very successful. I intend to enroll my children in the nearby prep school, and after speaking with the admission staff, I have every confidence that we are in the right place! I highly recommend this school! AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level. Once a student completes an AP class and passes a final comprehensive examination conducted by the College Board, the student earns college credit for the course. AP classes are specific and not to be confused with other higher-level classes such as honors classes.
Before/After School
