I am a student at Gulf High School. The AP and IB teachers are great teachers and prepare their students very well for the AP Exams. The Staff, especially the new Principle, is wonderful. The NJROTC is amazing and have accomplished so much this year, in the community and even in nation!

Academic Programs meet standards for the state, however, command and control of the students makes getting a standard education difficult if not impossible. This is regardless of parent involvement. Over-crowding is a factor.

* In 2008-2009 Florida used the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) to test students in grades 3 through 10 in reading and math; in grades 4, 8 and 10 in writing; and in grades 5, 8 and 11 in science. The FCAT Writing results are displayed separately on GreatSchools profiles. The FCAT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Florida. The goal is for all students to score at or above level 3.
