My oldest daughter will be starting her 3rd year at Genesis this year, and my youngest daughter will be starting Kindergarten (She went to Genesis for Pre-K). The education that they receive is second to none, in my opinion. The teachers make sure that the children get the individual attention that they

My daughter started kindergarten this year in Aug. of 2008. She was very bright to begin with, but her kindergarten teacher is absolutely outstanding, and after 6 weeks into the year, they are already out of kindergarten workbooks and into first grade material. The downside is that the majority of staff (teachers) other than the kinder/first grade teachers, lack a warm and caring personality, and are overly strict. I have found that many of the teachers are grumpy, they lack social skills/class, and are reluctant to smile and make efforts to get to know you and be polite. How very disheartening. Be a better example for treating parents and their children with courtesy and kindness, instead of rude and dismissive. Academically, our children are being challenged, but teaching social skills comes from home first and is supposed to be reinforced by the staff. I have been disappointed by the lack of 'friendliness' I have witnessed. My child would succeed better somewhere else. Not to mention she is overheated from being forced to eat her lunch and play outside because there's no gym or cafeteria! Read less
