10 Parent Reviews for Mount Dora High School

Mount Dora High School is an overall good school. We have many great activities such as our band program and all sports. Administration could be more passive due to making big deals out of nothing. But I like the school even if I haven't finished my freshman year yet.

Hi, my third review. What joy I still feel when my son comes home and will say I had a great day. His courses are still in step with his ambitions. He sees psychics as a major in his future. Also, I salute the band, and Mr. Porter. He has developed a love of music by the example set in school. I wish ...  Read more

Mt. Dora high school is a very good choice for your child. As with any high school, you get back what you put in to the school. The teachers are caring and easy to talk to and the guidance staff is amazing. The extracurricular activities are varied; your child can play in the band, cheer, participate ...  Read more

Mount Dora High School has low test scores. They don't care about each student as an individual. I would not recommend sending your child there.

Not very impressive, school administration is inconsistent and biased, attendance policy is grossly overemphasized, etc. Best to go with an Orange County, FL school than educate your child in Lake County. Mount Dora HS is one of the better schools in the county.
