I have a 4th grader and a 1st grader both with ADHD. the staff is great and very helpful. My son also needs extra help, and they are right there to help him even on his bad days. Hate to see them have to make cut backs. We will see what next year holds.

I would like to address earlier statements about the security at Tynes. Tynes is always working to become more and more secure and student safety is of the utmost importance. I personally can recognize many parents of whom I have never formally met, but I know which child(ren) they belong to. Just because ...  Read more

In the begining I was afraid for my son, because after reading the list of skills the kindergarner were going to learn, I was afraid my son would not do well. He did not even know how to write his ...  Read more

The school has a well rounded academic program. Five resources are available including art, music, pe, computer, and media. The school has a large parent volunteer group and a PFA. The school is clean and welcoming. My children love their teachers and I feel great about the education they are receiving.

My son had a great experience at Tynes. I wish he could continue to go there, but we had to move. His teacher was firm but friendly, what was just what my son needed. The teaching style at Tynes was very academically oriented, which is great for a strong student.

This schools curriculum is like getting a private school education in a public school. But it comes at a price. Very stressful for any student. But there is help for students who need it. The children are great, the staff expect a lot and recieve a lot. School spirit is high. The principal is very offstandish ...  Read more
