I think that the Magnet Program is the best, not only are you in some really interesting advanced classes, but they have like a ton of cool field trips, especially the end of the year field trips. You feel really priveleged in the magnet program, it can be tough but it's worth it.

I am currently a student in JFK middle, in the 8th grade, and honestly this is probably one of the best middle schools in the state you could possibly go to. The teachers are very friendly and are available to help you if you have any trouble, and the school makes it easy to transition from elementary ...  Read more

I was a former student in the JFK magnet program, and currently a freshman in high school. The 3 years I spent in the B.E.A.T program were the best and I am positive if I had not attended that school, I would not be in anyway prepared for high school. The teachers in the B.E.A.T program are the most ...  Read more

This school is an extremely good school. I am currenlty an eighth grader in the BEAT Program who is still attending the school, getting kicked out is if the the student is constanlty fighting and is not keeping up the grade point average which is a 3.0 (which is a 'B'). In the first marking period if ...  Read more

My child started at the school and I think it is great. Just I don't think it is fair that BEAT students can get kicked out if they have a C in any of their electives. There is lots of pressure on the kids. But , my child is making lots of progress and is keeping up his grades and has gained interest ...  Read more

To me the school is okay. THe only thinbg wrong about it is that the BEAT students have no interesting Electives. Well the 8th graders don't. They should be able to choose what they want. The gifted kids have way better electives than BEAT. To me, it seem that BEAT is carrying most of the weight and ...  Read more
