14 Parent Reviews for Liberty Elementary School

My husband and I are parents and teachers. Liberty Elementary is an excellent school. Learning is alive and the teachers love what they do. The children are excited to go to school. The beginning years are wonderful as they learn in a hands-on atmosphere, with their classrooms full of the joyful noise ...  Read more

Liberty earned an 'A' for 2009. They also earned several community and volunteer awards. Focus is learning. A dedicated staff overcame many obstacles (poverty and budget) to earn this accolade. The school is an anchor of our proud community. We're proud that achievement, character education and ...  Read more

Has it's strengths and its weaknesses. Strength: principal - does all that he can to provide the best. Our expereiences have been great teachers. Qualified and caring! involved pta-good team! weaknesses are the lacking budget which equals to lacking necessary supplies and tools and the non-invloved ...  Read more

My children have been at Liberty for many years, basically since it was 'born'. We were pretty lucky with the teachers they had, but that is pretty much it. The rest is just it - the rest. Unless requested I don't feel that the children get much opportunity to advance. And I'm sorry that the 5th graders ...  Read more

I feel the school is doing just enough to get by. The childern are not challanged and get bored. Other school's in the district seem to have more educational tools.

Every person who works there is clearly part of a team and it shows in the students performance. The principal is one of the best I've ever met. Extracurricular activities are lacking only because of district budget. We as parents need to volunteer more of our time if we expect more.

Liberty Elementary is a fairly new school, you would think that they would have more extra curricular activities available to the students. If your child is not above average, and you aren't a concerned parent, definitely your child will fall in between the cracks.

Liberty is an excellent school. I like the concepts of the homework folders with homework on Mondays through Thursdays. Because of funding statewide, the children do not get enough PE, music or library time. The only obvious complaint I would have is pick up time for drivers. Drop off is fairly smooth, ...  Read more

Liberty Elementary provided good academic programs. I was never made aware of any extracurricular activities. They encouraged parent involvement in everything, and seemed to have pretty good involvement.

My son finished 1st grade at Liberty. I believe he did really well, considering he left a private school to attend Liberty. His teacher was amazing, she had great teaching skills and my son left the first grade with great reading skills.
