I am a former educator at CHS. I taught at CHS for 6 wonderful years (2003-2009) when our family was transferred out of state. My own children attended CHS and loved it! I am a graduate of Columbia and I must say that my experiences there fostered little more than aggravation. The only plus was the variety of extracurricular activities. I say variety because unless you were a football player, cheerleader, or tigerette, support was minimal. For every teacher , there were

Hi I'm a student at Columbia High and probably the best thing about CHS is its football program, I mean the teams it puts out teams every year that are always good though this year they'll have Tim Tebows coach to help make them become a great team. I have to say the vocational programs at CHS are awesome

My son is in his second year at CHS and I'd just like to say that if your child wants to learn, asks for help when needed (which is available) obeys the rules (tuck your shirt in..how hard is that?) they should be successful at Columbia period. * In 2008-2009 Florida used the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) to test students in grades 3 through 10 in reading and math; in grades 4, 8 and 10 in writing; and in grades 5, 8 and 11 in science. The FCAT Writing results are displayed separately on GreatSchools profiles. The FCAT is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Florida. The FCAT has 5 achievement levels, with level 1 being the lowest and level 5 the highest. Florida considers scores of level 3 and higher to be on or above grade level. The goal is for all students to score at or above level 3.
