I went to VCA for 2 years, and I loved it! At first I hated it but I knew it was best for me. This schoool is very beneficial for teens who are self- destructing.

This is not a 'school' in the ordinary sense. This is a place of last resort to which parents send their daughters when they are ungovernable. It is a place that will provide a safe haven and redirection for a girl whose life is on a straight path to self destruction. It saves the sanity, health,

My daughter was there for over a year, and my only mistake was not sending her back when she started back into her old ways. Reverend Palmer gives some exceptional sermons that talk directly to the needs of these girls. He's definitely not out of touch with their problems. My only complaint was that they forced them to eat everything on their plate, which I felt was bad for them. Read less

I spent three years at VCA. The only available music is christian songs sung in church and when you're not put on quiet time. Song's such as Our God Is An Awesome God. There is no art program at all nor sports. Ocasionally you get to go outside and 'play'. Don't do it! You'll regret it! Believe me!

I'm a former 'Victory girl.' This God-centered boarding school focuses little on academia. School is not intellectually challenging, and help is mediocre. However, the PACE academic system allows many students to catch up and graduate 'on time.' Parents have little involvement besides writing their child(ren).
... Read more Students are removed from reality and forced to focus on God. Rules, however silly, are strictly enforced. Days are scheduled, and activities include chores, KJV-Bible reading, chapel (often preachy, even dogmatic), meals, school, and sports/leisure time. Typical 'extracurricular activities' are limited. The most common form of punishment is writing lines. The God-fearing leaders ensure student safety, as students are closely watched and don't leave the premises. Sadly, this school has an undesired recidivism rate due to its extreme withdraw from the outside world. Students receive little, if any, counsel. The staff assumes the worst of everyone. I appreciate this school, but my overall experience was nightmarish. Read less

What a blessing Victory was there when I most needed them. They helped redirect my troubled daughter towards positive paths. Their individualized instruction allowed her to progress at her own pace. She entered an 8th grader and exited 16 months later an 11th grader. Back home, our local high school

Extra curricular activities are fun and wholesome, and sometimes extend to nearby communities. The inside is impeccably clean and attractively decorated. The exterior pool and grounds are well maintained. My daughter became an expert in growing roses. From the nearby public road, which is separated by a low intermittent 4 high fence, the school looks like a beautiful country estate. The education is extremely poor at best, they give the children 3rd grade level work so that they can maintain their B average GPA promise. This school does not have extarcurricular activities. The staff members at Victory Christian Academy consist of former students and 'born-again' repenters. They preach a very dogmatic sectarian form of fundamentalist Baptist doctrine. Order amongst the students is kept with a rigid system of demerits. Friendships with other girls are strictly forbidden.
... Read more I have relationship and abandonment issues after attending for almost two years. The students are kept from all outside communication. For the high price of tuition, students are fed cheap, carbohydrate-laden food (which is sometimes donated by local pizza companies) and are housed in over-crowded dorms. Parents must pay separately for the school curriculum, as well as basic toiletries. Students do not have access to any licensed therapists or trained medical professionals. I do not recommend this school to anyone, especially not a troubled teenage girl. Please research this school further. Read less
