This is the best school in St. Johns County and perhaps in NE Forida. My child has grown so much and beyond our expectations in her first year. The small and secure campus adds to the wonderful setting and teaching/learning environment. The teachers and faculty go out of their way to communicate

I would have to say that SJGS excels on many levels. Communication is excellent at the school with regular e-mails and notes homes. The teachers are regularly available and many can be contacted by phone and e-mail after hours. The teachers also communicate with the parents on a regular basis. The Pre-K
... Read more program at this school cannot be compared to any other. I would encourage anyone to sit on on a class for any of the programs to see what is offered at this level. My children have attended this school for several years and I have gotten to know all the teachers very well and I would say that the teachers who are returning next year are all very good. Read less

This school continues to far exceed my expectations. Each student is given the opportunity to progress at a very rapid rate. Parents may choose to become as involved as their schedules allow. Communication from teachers is frequent and consistent. Every child is given the opportunity to participate

... Read more person. Community Service projects and Field trips are life altering events whether it is supporting local charities, supporting our military, or hands on marine biology. The small class size is perfect for allowing the teacher to set the pace of lessons. Children can be challenged above and beyond the normal curriculum. Outdoor play on the 1 acre playground is so crucial to a child's development. At SJGS, all grades have the fortunate opportunity to have any where from 30-50 minutes of outside time a day. Our children have been attending St. Johns Grammar School for 3 years. When we first toured the school it felt like 'home.' The campus is gorgeous with acres of unspoiled nature creating a serene and secluded environment. The teachers and staff at SJGS act as a family unit, their concern for their students

SJGS offers a great deal beyond core academics, including orchestra (1st grade and up!), foreign language, chess club, karate, track and field, cheerleading and more. These activities take place with enthusiastic and encouraging leadership from the teachers involved. The academics are indeed accelerated at SJGS, particularly in the lower school (K3-4th grade), and most notably in math. You'd be surprised how many children can handle the faster pace when given just such a chance. Their character development program stresses respect, integrity and kindness, with students involved in numerous community projects. There is a positive difference here. Read less

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
