I finally left this school after 5 years. Although it has a lot to offer, the current administration did very little to instruct the teachers on how to encourage the students to reach their full potential. Hopefully, the new board, with their plea for better communication between the parents and the

... Read more a high level. He really enjoyed learning and working with his teachers. The addministration was/is willing to work with each students different problems. My daughter started at Greenwood in the 2nd grade, she still attends Greenwood and hopes to graduate in 2012. I will be looking forward to that day. On that day I will get to see her spread her wings and fly, but will be sad to leave the friends I have made there. This is my sons first year at Greenwod and we both LOVE it. Everyone is so very friendly and will work though any problem. He has also learned so much and stays on the A/B honor roll. There are always new sports for the children to partisapate in at no extra coast.

This school is like my second home to me. This is my 4th and final senior year here. I have lots of friends here and the teachers here are just outstanding. I would never want the school to change a thing here and will always remember this school when I graduate.

My son has been at Greewood since 5th grade and it has been amazing! He is about to finish his first year of high school and is doing very well. I could not find any support or help for his dyslexia in the oublic school system and thought that putting him a 'special' school would weaken him academically
... Read more but it has not. The teachers at Greenwood push him to excel and he is testing above grade level on standardized tests. They have been wonderful. The administration is continually providing the teachers with opportunities to learn more about the students they teach and great things are happening. Our son, who has ADD and is currently in the 8th grade, began in the 5th grade at Greenwood School. The Greenwood School has taught him much more than the local public schools had from K-4. They have taught him not only about achieving the standard academic subjects but also how to surpass them. Greenwood

The teachers, administrators, parent volunteers, and fellow students have all touched his life in positive ways. I am very thankful we have had to opportunity to select a private school in Duval county and I believe we made a terrific choice in selecting Greenwood to teach our son academics, organizational skills, and social skills. My daughter has attended Greenwood for five years now and the quality of education is second to none. The small class sizes allow more one on one attention that she needed. Outstanding School - My son is severely A.D D as I am. I sent him to Greenwood in the 9th grade to 12th. He is in his final Semester for a B.A. at UNF now, good grades - free of drug/drink problems and involved in student government! He plans to go to graduate school. I made the correct choice.

Advanced Placement
AP classes are college-level classes offered at the high school level.
