this school is not a place where parents should send their children . we are behind in everything we do. some of the teachers treat students rude. school is a place where you are suppos to be happy to learn new things. but unlike Englewood you feel like you are in jail .....

I am currently a senior at Englewood HS and i am truly unmotivated. When i was a freshman our principle was envolved in our school and commended us on us doing well, he gave us small insenives. If we recived A's on our report cards that group of kids would go to Outback. We also had RAM X cards for meeting ...  Read more

Englewood is a good school for students, but if your kids are straight A's or B's student. This school might not be for you. The pace of the education level is super low and it's a turn around school. Try other schools or magnets school like Paxon High School or Staton Prep High School. This school is ...  Read more

I've taught at Englewood for 21 years. We've changed a lot since I started, but the emphasis is still on producing quality students who will make exceptional citizens. Englewood High School has greatly improved over the last 2 years since Dr. Alvin Brennan took over as principal. We nicknamed him Joe Clark after the character in the movie 'Lean on me'. If you saw the movie then you understand what I'm saying. My son is a senior this year and he recently signed with ...  Read more

I do not believe Englewood High School was a motivating enviroment for my children. They came from Catholic school and it was culture shock. I would recommend a magnet school or private school, if possible. Parental involvement is not good.

I think Englewood is a great school. Mr Kemp has made wonderful changes for the school. My daughter is a senior this year, and has great memories of her high school years. I just have one comment on the teachers, some of them need to retire.
